On-Site

When our staff arrive on-site, they will prepare the work area so they can complete the work safely and protect your space. They will then complete the work as per your specifications. We strive for excellence in every job. All of our work is completed following the National Building Code and Ontario Health and Safety standards.


If at any time they run into a new issue they will discuss it with you, answer all of your questions, and only complete additional work if you authorize it.


If the work requires a Plumbing Inspection, our team will arrange for the inspection and will be on-site during the inspection to answer any questions the inspector may have.


Once the job is done we will clean up after ourselves leaving your space as tidy as we found it. Payment is due upon completion of the work- we accept cash, e-transfer and credit cards.

    UV light water purification systems work by emitting UV-C light, a type of ultraviolet light with germicidal properties. As water passes through the system, this light inactivates harmful microorganisms preventing them from multiplying or causing illness.     The effectiveness of a UV purification system largely depends on the quality and clarity of the water entering the system. Turbidity (cloudiness), coloration, or high levels of calcium or iron can greatly reduce the effectiveness of UV light. Therefore, pre-treatment (water conditioner or water filtration) may be necessary.


  • What is the lifespan of a UV light in the purification system?

    The lifespan of a UV bulb in a purification system typically ranges between 9 to 14 months depending on usage and manufacturer's specifications. Although the bulb might still emit visible light beyond this period, its ability to produce germicidal UV-C rays diminishes over time.


    To maintain optimal performance and safety standards, it is recommended that you replace the UV bulb annually as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. Some modern systems include an alert mechanism that signals when it's time for replacement.

  • Can't I install a UV light system myself?

    While installing a UV light water purification system may seem straightforward, it's crucial to remember that incorrect installation can lead to ineffective water treatment. Incorrect installation can also result in a water leak that can damage your home.

  • Is regular maintenance required for a UV light water purification system?

    UV lights require annual inspection and maintenance. The UV bulb typically lasts one year. If you have a new UV light system there is a display on the UV light casing that tells you how many days are left before the bulb expires. The effectiveness of the UV light is dependent on how clean the system is on the inside. The Quartes sleeve inside the UV light system needs to be inspected and cleaned annually. Finally, the annual inspection also includes checking all of the water connections of the UV system for leaks. This is important as a slow water leak is hard on your well and can damage your home.
